Under One Moon is the fantastic latest recording from drummer Tim Rachbach. The effort is primarily comprised of self-written originals that put the full color of Rachbach’s musical palette on display. The tunes connect both emotionally and have a very lyrical quality to them. The effort’s only cover is a worthy rendition of a Wayne Shorter composition. Helping to bring the content of the music to fruition are the talents of Adam O’Farrill on trumpet, Xavier Del Castillo on tenor sax, Manuel Schmiedel on piano/Juno-60 and Rick Rosato on bass. A work of wonderful musicianship. A quality artistic production. Kudos.
