Spinrad wrote or co-wrote all of the fantastic compositions, while Fazio provided the outstanding arrangements for the horns at the heart of this effort. The tunes are truly engaging, whether they are uptempo foot-tappers, or contemplative ballads. The quality of musicianship powers this production with Spinrad and Fazio being joined by pianist Don Turney, trumpet and flugelhornist Richard Conway, baritone saxophonist Larry Stewart, along with bassists John Hettel, Eric Lyons, Daniel Parenti and David Enos providing the low end on various tracks. This is one truly entertaining recording.
