Whirlwind recorded at live at LA’s Sam First club, features Haymer’s trio with David Robaire on bass and Dan Schnelle on drums. The set is a mix of standards, but leans heavily towards Haymer’s own compositions, which is great because the originals are so engaging. Add to this, the interplay and outstanding performances by the players here and it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable listen from start to finish.
