This Could Be The Start from singer Linda Purl is a lively affair. Purl once again proves that she’s as at ease in a studio as she is on the set of a film or movie as an actress on her sixth recording. The production is a wonderful collection of jazz and pop standards that benefits nicely from fantastic arrangements and musicianship, alongside Purl’s vocals. The outstanding instrumental contributions are provided by pianist Todd Firth, bassist David Finck, drummer and percussionist Ray Marchica and flutist Nelson Rangell. A fantastic work from beginning to end.
