On this effort, Purl takes on the formidable Great American Songbook and delivers with flying colors. The result is magic, with some wonderful takes on the storied tunes. The arrangements provide the fantastic music landscape over which Purl’s vocal soar. Providing the sonic foundation are pianist Teddy Firth, bassist David Finck, reeds player Nelson Rangell and drummer Ray Marchica. Great performances all around on a truly excellent collection of music.
