With this release, bassist Chris Brubeck and drummer Dan Brubeck celebrate the 60th anniversary of their father Dave Brubeck’s 1958 tour in which jazz musicians were enlisted to build cultural bridges around the world. Timeline features tunes that the legendary pianist wrote, which were inspired by that experience. The music here is nicely arranged and the musicianship is brilliant, with Mike DiMecco on guitar and Chuck Lamb on piano rounding out the fantastic quartet. There are song contributions from the players on the effort, which fit seamlessly into the overall production. This one does not disappoint.
