Kuumbwa Jazz celebrates 50 years with special all-star concerts

Kuumbwa Jazz will cap its 50th anniversary celebrations on an impressive high note. Saxophonist Joshua Redman, trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, flutist-vocalist Elena Pinderhughes, pianists Billy Childs and Gerald Clayton, bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Gregory Hutchinson are all expected to assemble for two shows at the downtown Santa Cruz institution on Saturday, Dec. 13.
