Screen Play, the latest from the Tierney Sutton Band is a wonderfully beautiful tribute to song associated with films. The tunes are associated with cinema classics like The Wizard of Oz, Pinocchio, Mulholland Falls, The Graduate and Grease to name a few of 15 tracks that are nicely covered here. The nicely executed and creative arrangements make this one truly special, as does Sutton’s top-notch and captivating vocal delivery on all the selections. The solid musician lineup here includes Christian Jacob on piano, Kevin Axt and Trey Henry on bass, and Ray Brinker on drums. Alan Bergman provides guests vocals on one of the songs he wrote here and guitarist Serge Merlaud joins in on guitar for several tunes. Great vocals and musicianship make this a truly fantastic recording.
