The Baylor Project | Generations

Generations from the team of drummer Marcus Baylor and singer Jean Baylor is a beautiful homage to their personal and ancestral musical influences. Elements of jazz, gospel, and soul infuse the excellent compositions of The Baylor Project’s second endeavor. The tremendous production features outstanding string and horn arrangements alongside stellar performances from the Baylors and a first-class lineup of musical talents. The recording phenomenal roster includes saxophonists Kenny Garrett, Keith Loftis and Korey Riker, pianists Sullivan Fortner and Shedrick Mitchell, bassists Dezron Douglas, Richie Goods, and Ben Williams, guitarists Marvin Sewell and Ray Holloman, vocalist Jamison Ross, and trumpeters Freddie Hendrix and Christopher Michael Stevens, among many notables. One of the treasures of many on this project is vocal sensation Jazzmeia Horn and the great Dianne Reeves joining the lead singer, with the three astounding talents sharing lyrical and vocal riffs. This is truly an exquisite, entertaining work of artistry and depth.
