Pianist Roberta Piket delivers a wonderful birthday gift to drummer Billy Mintz on her release Domestic Harmony. The project is comprised entirely of Piket’s solo piano performances of compositions written by Mintz, who also happens to be her husband. Piket’s deft touch is compatible with the array selection of tunes here, ranging to uptempo to more subtle numbers, she even adds the vocals for one of the tunes. A wonderfully intimate recording that is truly entertaining from start to finish.
