Saxophonist Matt Parker and pianist-composer Richard X Bennett have created an explorative and expansive recording with Parker Plays X. The effort features compositions by Bennett as interpreted by two musicians along with bassist Adam Armstrong and drummer Julian Edmond. The result is a dynamic production of music that seems to know no creative bounds. A very interesting musical endeavor.
