The Pacific Harp Project’s latest Play is a musically rich and spiritually transportive experience. This effort is even more expansive and compositionally eclectic than their previous outing, which may seem surprising for a band centered around a harp, but these folks manage to pull it off. The tunes are wonderfully cinematic and romantic in a contemporary voice.  The group, comprised of Megan Bledsoe Ward on harp, Noel Okimoto on vibraphone, Todd Yukumoto on saxophones, Jon Hawes on bass, and Allan Ward on drums, sounds great together. Jamie Jordan delivers beautifully compelling vocals on several selections. Other guest players on the recording include Kenny Endo and Allen Won. The project combines great musicianship with a captivating blend of sounds and song, resulting in an outstanding production.
