Vocalists Mark Winkler and Cheryl Bentyne have teamed up for another fantastic production.  Eastern Standard Time, as the title implies, is a varied collection of standards, of pop and jazz variety. The singers are featured alone and together on alternate tunes. The set is comprised of tunes written or co-written by Peggy Lee, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, Harry Stone, J. Wolf, Howard Dietz, Arthur Schweitzer, Lou Reed and Bob Dorough, to whom the album is dedicated. Winkler also contributes a couple of tunes to the mix as well. The great vocals are backed by outstanding musicianship from Gabe Davis on piano, Rich Eames on bass, Dave Tull on drums, Grant Geissman on guitar, Bob Sheppard on sax, Stephanie Fife on flute, Kevin Winard on percussion. Winkler and Bentyne are a wonderful musical team and the fun and love they have working together comes across in this superb recording.
