Korean-born arranger and composer Hyeseon Hong makes a stunning debut with the release EE-YA-GI. The 7- track production is a collection of outstanding compositions from Hong, performed by an 18-piece orchestra comprised of some of New York’s finest musicians. Each track is its own colorful aural musical landscape, among which includes the composer’s tribute to her native country. Trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and Rich Perry are featured on the effort and elevate the work even higher, likewise the vocal accompaniment of EJ Park and Subin Park. This is an immensely beautiful and engaging work on a par with the best ensemble projects we’ve heard in recent years. Don’t miss it!

Tracks: Harvest Dance, Friends or Lovers, Para Mi Amigo Distante, Boat Song, Disappearing Into Foam, Trash Digging Queen, Love Song.
