Verdant is an outstanding debut recording for singer Ellie Martin. The album features 12 original tunes penned by Martin, a cancer-survivor and mother, inspired by her life experiences. Martin really delivers showcasing her creative and vocal range with the diversity of the recording’s songs. The singer is backed by some great talent on the effort, including Peter Eldridge on piano and vocals, Andrew Bishop on clarinet, Kurt Krahnke on bass, Keith Ganz and Ariel Kasler on guitars, Olman Piedra on drums and percussion, Ben Wolkins on trumpet, Vitor Gonçalves on accordion and Mike Harrison on vocals. A truly noteworthy and special first outing.
