Joining Bass are bassist Tyler Miles and drummer Steve Helfand. The eleven-selection program pairs six Bass originals with music by Chick Corea and Thelonious Monk, traditional folk material, and standards by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington, and Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly, and Harry Woods. Johann Sebastian Bach’s musical vocabulary also figures prominently in Bass’s inventive approach.
