Encantada Live by Brazilian vocalist Claudia Villela is a joyous free-spirited musical journey. The result of several live performances, the production alternates between a septet configuration, and Villela on piano with a quartet of players. Villela’s vocals are melodic, hypnotic and entrancing with the singer flowing and floating with and around the colorful rhythmic sound landscapes. The talented instrumentalist lineup includes guitarists Bruce Dunlap and Jeff Buenz, bassist Gary Brown, drummer Celso Alberti, as well as Kenny Werner and Jasnam Daya Singh on piano, Ricardo Peixoto on guitar, Andy Connel on soprano saxophone, Michael Spiro on percussion and the late Paul van Wageningen on drums.
