So In Love is the thoroughly enjoyable release from pianist Chris Rottmeyer and vocalist Ashley Locheed. The production features a wonderfully diverse array of tunes, each featuring new arrangements that add new flavors to compositions by Cole Porter, Thelonious Monk, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Paul Simon and Michel Legrand, among others. Locheed provides fantastic delivery and interpretations of the material, with Rottmayer adept touch on the keys adding color and depth to the sound. The music is further enhanced by the contributions of bassist Chuck Archard (who co-arranged much of the set with Rottmayer) and drummer Keith Wilson. The result of all involved is one truly outstanding recording.
